A nationally recognized joint replacement surgeon, Dr. Barrett designs hip and knee replacement prostheses and is one of a handful of surgeons in the United States working on computer-assisted surgery for hip and knee replacement. Dr. Barrett was named a Top Doctor for joint replacement in the September 2007 issue of Seattle Magazine.

Dr. Barrett is the medical director for Valley Medical Center's Joint Center and practices at VOA's Renton clinic. He is also the president of VOA Research Foundation. The mission and goal of the VOA Research Foundation is to evaluate and educate physicians and patients about advanced treatment options that give patients the ability to move more easily and help eliminate the pain of arthritis involving our joints.
