Founded in 1973, Valley Orthopedic Associates is one of the largest orthopedic practices in the Pacific Northwest with more than six orthopedic clinics and over 50,000 patients each year. Our Renton and Covington locations offer orthopedic surgery, as well as general orthopedics. VOA also provides subspecialty orthopedic care involving spinal disorders and spinal surgery, sports medicine, shoulder and hand conditions, foot and ankle disorders, joint replacement surgery, and occupational medicine.

VOA is a service of Proliance Surgeons, Inc. We provide a full spectrum of orthopedic care, including a JCAHO-accredited outpatient ambulatory orthopedic surgery center, a full-body MRI, digital radiography, and bone densitometry.
Research is an essential part of medicine, allowing us to objectively evaluate the effectiveness of the treatments we recommend and deliver to our patients. For this reason, the VOA Research Foundation was formed as a 501 (C) (3) nonprofit organization.
In 2000, our association with Valley Medical Center led to the development of The Joint Center at Valley Medical Center, the first dedicated joint center in the Pacific Northwest and the recipient of numerous awards. VOA orthopedic surgeons are active in the design and development of some of the most commonly used joint replacement components.
VOA's spine specialists have also played an integral role in the development of The Spine Center at Valley Medical Center. The Center is dedicated to the care of patients undergoing cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine surgery.
Our hand specialists provide comprehensive care for all hand and wrist disorders, including carpal tunnel syndrome, hand surgery, and wrist surgery.
Our shoulder specialists treat a wide spectrum of disorders including fractures, rotator cuff tears, instability, shoulder joint arthritis, and shoulder surgery.
The VOA Foot & Ankle Center specializes in common and complex foot, ankle, and heel disorders. The Center is a vital supporter of the Prosthetic Outreach Foundation, supporting specialty foot care in Vietnam, Sierra Leone, and Bangladesh.
VOA sports medicine surgeons and physicians use the latest techniques and procedures, across multiple disciplines, to get the weekend warrior and the serious athlete back to their sport.
The VOA mission is to provide compassionate, exceptional care to patients with orthopedic injuries and orthopedic conditions, using the best techniques and latest technologies derived from evidence-based medicine in a patient-friendly environment. We strive to respect our patients as individuals, honor our commitment to patient well-being, and be mindful of our collective responsibility to promote health.
